It was runs galore in the ongoing International Masters League (IML), as India Masters emerged victorious by seven runs against West Indies Masters. The pitch at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur stayed true to run scoring as India posted a huge score of 253 for the loss of just three wickets. In reply, West Indies were in the hunt in the majority of the run chase but could not close the innings as India bowlers held their nerves.
Chasing a huge score of 254, West Indies openers Dwayne Smith (79), and W Perkins (52) put on a huge stand of 121 for the first wicket. However, Perkins's wicket gave India a momentum. While Simmons and Cater tried to keep the scoreboard ticking by trying to find the odd boundaries, the task was huge for the Windies to chase 252.
