The latest ICC Men’s Test Rankings have seen big changes following the second Test between India and England at Edgbaston. England’s Harry Brook has climbed to the top of the batting charts, while India captain Shubman Gill has made his way into the top 10.
Gill moved up 15 spots to reach No. 6 in the world after a historic performance in Birmingham. He scored 269 runs in the first innings and followed it up with 161 in the second, becoming the first batter to score both a double-hundred and a 150 in the same Test match.
At the same time, Harry Brook jumped to No. 1 after scoring 158 in England’s first innings at Edgbaston. His rise in the ICC Test Batting Rankings pushed former captain Joe Root down to the second spot. Brook has been one of England’s most consistent batters in the format over the last year.
